ON A SLAB IN THE CRYOGENICS LAB

Why the cold shoulder? Just think,
you’ll not grow older in your current state!
It will be great when they find the cure
and you’re unfrozen at that chosen time!
A return to rhyme with a tale to tell.
Do not dwell on the things you’ve missed,
you had kissed them goodbye when you signed
on that dotted line. There’s a bright side.
Inside your chamber you were cold and unfeeling.
Now, you’ll be dealing with people of the same vent.
They’ve come by theirs naturally, and you’ll be a charm
when you can finally get warm. Just put on your gloves.
