Taken quite by surprise
the fear in your eyes has taken
a rather queer turn. They burn
from the scene set before them.
You abhor them for showing you
You’ve been slated for obsolescence,
you are the essence of all that has gone
horribly wrong around you. It confounds you.
To decipher this tragic turn, you’ll need
to burn the midnight oil. But sadly,
you appear to have soiled yourself.
Your eyes have glossed over and you hover
over the chalk lines of despair rocking back
and forth. It truly is shocking, for what it’s worth!
