Courage allows for our ethics to remain strong;
an idealism that is the antithesis
of what the common perception is.
A sense of decency and decorum.
A truth based in knowledge,
of good will, not bad faith.
Our punishment is the loss of freedom.

Oh, for more of this in the world:
“A truth based in knowledge,
of good will, not bad faith.”
Yep.
Loss of freedom seems like a just punishment. Then we need to reform to recover it.
I feel that the world punish the ones who are doing what’s good… freedom is for those that grab the most.
we need good will and not bad faith if we wish to sustain our freedom.
I thought I understood what you meant and then, when I reread it, I got a little confused. Is the punishment if we do NOT have the courage of decency and decorum, and base our arguments on knowledge rather than bad faith, or is it the present situation a punishment for what we may not have stood up for in the past? Or a bit of both?
