I found your voice again.
“I love you!” you said.
I hit rewind, play…
“I love you!”
Your sound long buried,
it is scary to feel…
“I love you!”
Your voice again,
I find you!
Rewind, play…
“I love you!”

dVerse Poets Pub – Quadrille #32: Echo
awwwww. I only hope this is being listened to in the best of circumstances, and not in mourning, or loss.
Recordings are like echos from the past.
Nice BLOG!!! ADD my BLOG too!!! Kisses!!!!
Oh this quadrille really hit the heart. Lovely poem.
The “it is scary to feel” line stuck out as a big truth in little words.
So much come flooding back. It is a joy and a curse that haunts longer than it should. Thanks for reading, Rachel.
Poignantly presented…not a situation I would like to be in…the draw and the loss.
This is soo touching..! I do hope its being listened to in good circumstances… sigh…
When you go back and listen – I sense a loss
That resounds with me. I have hit playback so many times, whether the recorder was still turned on or not, in the big screen TV in the back of my head. Just want to hear it one more time…
We all wish to hear it one more time, Walter. Thank you!
It’s maybe not a good thing to relive. Madness lies in that direction. Effective and disturbing lines.
Glad you enjoyed my POEM.
I did 🙂
This was so touching!
