DULCINEA IN DECIMA

Oh Aldonza, beauty of La Mancha,
you are idolized as a delusion.
Don Quixote sees you, Dulcinea,
a vision of ravishing illusion;
sad old man of decrepit mind, the fool.

Sancho Panza, man-servant to his liege,
rides along with him to seek “adventure”,
tilting windmills, an armor crested siege.
This conquisitor, Cervante’s pleasure,
Dulcinea his treasure; he the fool.

  1. Glad to see this
    Ever since Robert posted this form I’ve been subvocalizing
    I am I Don Quixote the Lord of La Mancha
    My Destiny calls and I go
    (that being about as much as I can remember)
