LEARNING THERE’S NO ANSWER FOR CANCER

You sure wish there were a cure.
All those close who were chosen,
taken too soon makes your head swoon.
Too many questions to decipher,
and those lives were in vain
if by some insane notion it gets floated
that any devoted solution is near.
It’s clear they can turn your telephone
into a camera and video recorder, a GPS,
a music player and TV, but
carcinoma and HPV remain a mystery.
We raise money for a cure,
but there is no money in a cure.
And so we learn to live and die,
and wonder why there is no answer.

  1. They’ll find the cure. It might be hidden in plain sight, and one day someone will just stumble upon it… I pray it happens soon. Such an awful disease.
Bacterial infections used to be deadly before the discovery of penicillin..
