SUMMER ME, WINTER ME

Two sides to every coin,
joined in the middle; a transition.
Running hot and cold,
not so bold as to have no choice.
A voice for all seasons,
no reason is clear, Two hats worn,
changing with the flow
running hot and cold.
Summers seem so far away
heading for my winter days.
Soon to be seeking warmth
staying close to heart and hearth.
Until then, I’ll work on my tan.
My summer me is still a young man,
running hot and cold.

“Summer Me, Winter Me” written by Michel Legrand, Alan and Marilyn Bergman –
