Carrying this burden, my steps
traverse the room; my leg bends
and my back breaks. Stumbling like a drunk
I fall, landing softly upon my poetry, a wish
that my diminishing virtue rebounds
to pull me from this ditch and restore me
to the palace of poetic parlance.

  1. Nicely done Walter … and so succinctly too, bravo – ending up at the “palace of poetic parlance” has to be me favourite phrase though (and if you hadn’t italicized the words, I would’ve forgotten you were wordling …)

  2. As a subscriber to your site, I read every word your write as it pops into my inbox. The system of “following” is wonderful! Yet I fail at my part: I do not follow the link back here nearly often enough to leave my comments.

This poem, a wordle, so compact in its delivery. You’re a master of your craft, my friend. Reading the content reminded me of Beauty & The Beast. Nicely done!

I’m always amazed how you manage to create such a powerful and concise poem from the whirl words. Well done Walt. 🙂
